NFL Star Isaiah Wynn partnered with the Pinellas Education Foundation to create the ‘Win with Wynn Scholarship’ to provide $20,000 in scholarships for Pinellas County high school seniors this year.
Wynn, a St. Petersburg native, went from playing football for Lakewood High School to playing college ball at the University of Georgia. He began his professional career in the NFL as a first-round draft pick for the New England Patriots in 2018, where he played his first five seasons. Most recently, Wynn signed with the Miami Dolphins as an offensive tackle this spring.
Wanting to give back to his local community, Wynn established a scholarship fund for Pinellas County high school students. Instead of just providing scholarships to these collegebound recent grads, he wanted to take them to breakfast to celebrate this momentous time in their lives. He chose a place close to his heart, Kissin’ Cuzzins. Wynn worked at the long-standing St. Pete establishment as a teenager, bussing tables long before his NFL aspirations came to fruition.
Joining him at the table were Khire Butler and Qyashia Evans from Lakewood High, Natalia Crittenton from Gibbs High, and Nariyah Newton from East Lake High. Each student is receiving a $4,000 scholarship to attend college or technical school next year. Kalrick Harrisingh from Boca Ciega High was unable to attend the breakfast, but is also receiving a $4,000 scholarship.
A heartfelt thank you to Isaiah Wynn for the incredible donation to fund the scholarships, paving the way for these students to pursue their dreams.
