Curriculum Enrichment

Elevated Learning

Pinellas Education Foundation is dedicated to enriching curriculum by investing in innovative and engaging methods to advance student learning while also fostering essential life skills. We believe in enhancing education through unique experiences that improve student performance and promote creative teaching practices.

Real-World Academic Experiences

Enterprise Village is one of our signature programs, created in 1989, and remains a favorite educational experience that spans generations. Parents who grew up in Pinellas County tell stories of their visit to Enterprise Village when it’s time for their children to participate in this valuable experience.

Enterprise Village is designed to help students develop basic economic concepts and understand the process between businesses and consumers. Every fifth-grade student first learns economics in the classroom before their one-day field trip to the village. They get to work in one of over 20 businesses provided by our community business partners, simulating what a professional career entails.

Practical Financial Literacy

Finance Park, launched in 1998, is a hands-on simulation that teaches eighth-grade students financial concepts to build a strong foundation for the future. During a one-day field trip to Finance Park, students are presented with many different financial decisions one must make in real life – from transportation, banking, home improvement, healthcare, utilities, and food to investments, entertainment, and more.

The program provides real-life scenarios to equip students with the knowledge to make informed decisions about budgeting, spending, investing, and using credit, which are crucial for their success in adulthood. By learning about financial responsibility, students can develop healthy financial habits and promote long-term financial well-being.
