Largo, FL – September 12, 2025 Pinellas Education Foundation is proud to announce the honorees of its 2025 ChangeMakers Breakfast, recognizing individuals whose leadership and dedication have made a lasting impact on education in Pinellas County.

ChangeMakers are individuals who understand that investing in students means investing in our community’s future. This year’s honorees embody that belief, demonstrating extraordinary dedication to education and student success.

Impact & Innovation Award: Michael Ulbrich

Michael Ulbrich, Area 3 General Manager of Operations for Pinellas County Schools, is honored for his transformative leadership during Hurricanes Milton and Helene. He oversaw preparation, immediate response, and long-term recovery at Gulf Beaches Elementary Magnet and Madeira Beach Fundamental K-8 schools, ensuring students returned to safe, engaging learning environments.

ChangeMaker Award: Chris Devine

A graduate of Pinellas Education Foundation’s Take Stock in Children program, Chris exemplifies hard work and perseverance. Starting at Chick-fil-A in high school, he rose through management, joined the company’s elite Leadership Development Program, and in June 2025 achieved his dream of becoming owner and operator of the Tyrone Square Mall Chick-fil-A, right in his hometown.

Champion of Education Award: Jim Myers

Jim Myers, President and COO of Crown Automotive Group and longtime Pinellas Education Foundation board member, is honored for his transformative role in education. His efforts have strengthened literacy outcomes, expanded access to technical certifications, and helped thousands of students gain the skills needed to thrive in their futures.
