Helping boys improve their reading ability is a key element of our Closing the Gap initiative. Pinellas County Schools recently held its second annual Boys Read Battle of the Books, where ten teams of four boys representing their elementary schools participated virtually. This program allows boys to read books that appeal to their interests while also engaging their sense of competition.
