(Jan. 23, 2021) We’re almost through the first month of the new year, and if you haven’t found that perfect way to give back to your community yet, we’re here to help. The Catalyst’s Impact Connector is a user-friendly resource where you can find volunteer opportunities that match up with your interests and your schedule.
Whether you want to serve as a mentor, help feed the hungry or promote literacy, here are five ways you can get involved right now:
- Mentor a student through the Pinellas Education Foundation. The organization’s Take Stock in Children program helps change the lives of deserving students through financial donations and volunteer mentors. The mentoring program is virtual this year, and volunteers are asked to commit to meeting with their mentee 30 minutes a week, twice a month. All mentors are required to complete a training workshop.
